　30. The fifth sign from the Ascendant signifies the Native’s children, because it is of the same nature as the sign on the Ascendant, and if two signs shall be in the Ascendant, the children will be of humors and manners exceedingly different, the one from the other; for the same reason the ninth house, signifies grand-children.

　关于男性和女性星盘在分析上的差异，占星资料罕有提及。早些年有听闻对于父母双亲的分析，男性和女性盘中宫位宜对调考虑，这个观点我在实际应用时借鉴过，感觉效果还不错，只是我实际分析命例不算多，所以还不能确定这个规律的普遍性。
　论断所述的财富、举止等方面的男女星盘差异，目前是仅在这个资料中提及，虽然没有确切的解释，但这个观点可以在实际命例分析中慢慢汲取心得和认知。

　34. A woman that has Mars with the Moon is right; I’ll warrant her.
　女性命盘中，如火星合了月亮，那么我担保她是正派的。


　注：Anton Grigoryev 曾提到过这一条论断的英语翻译不恰当（这本书原文是拉丁语）。原文中卡丹的意思是如果女性命盘中火星合了月亮，那么她不可能是贞洁的。
　我们不会知道为什么Coley要这样翻译。不过John Frawley曾说过，我们不如把这句话的英语翻译理解为是讽刺性的，反话正说。因为不管怎样，这样的行星组合带来的影响是不好的。
　最后，我个人认为太片面了，保留意见。

35. In complete Nativities the Moon returns to the sign ascending at conception, or its opposite, or to the body or aspect of some Planet with whom she was at the conception, or to her own sign, and generally the Ascendant at birth is the Moon’s place at conception, or its opposite, or the place of the Lord of the New Moon foregoing the conception, yet there are sober genitures too, when the Sun comes to the place of the Ascendant or its Lord, etc.
　在完整准确的出生图中，月亮会回到受孕时的上升星座、或其相对的星座、或回到受孕时与某些星体成相位的位置、或是回到同一个星座；通常来讲，出生时的上升星座，即为受孕时的月亮的位置、或是其相对的星座、或孕期前月亮定位星所处的位置。如果太阳回到上升位置或其定位星的位置，那么小孩是顺产。


　注：这一论断可以帮助生时矫正。具体方法可以参考Christian Astrology 第3册。以后有时间，我们也会贴一些相关资料。
　据托勒密所说，一个孩子的性别及其它相关事件，可以在其出生前通过母亲受孕时星体的位置推测出来。然而该理论还缺乏实践操作，并未达成广泛的统一。
　最后一句的sober geniture有点麻烦，暂时处理为顺产吧。高手请不吝赐教。

　36. When Mars or the Moon shall be with the Dragon’s Head or Tail in the twelfth, and Sol and Jupiter in the fourth house, the Native will be hunch-backed.

　注：写这条论断时，估计卡丹是在分析一个特定的命盘。不过我们可以直接分析一下这些行星组合：计都和罗喉都是凶星，发光星体（代表健康，这里是月亮）或是火星（代表行动、体质）被其刑克，对盘主的影响都是极坏的。太阳木星合于4宫咋一看起来并不怎么坏，但是其隐藏削弱了盘主天生的力量（而且这里的木星很可能被燃烧了）。因此，整个星盘看起来就是缺乏力量的，不好。

37. When Mars is Lord of a Woman’s Ascendant, and Venus posited in it, or Venus is Lady of it, and Mars in it, or Mars Lord of the Ascendant in the mid-heaven; it is more than probable she will Cuckold her husband.
　在女性的命盘中，如果火星是命主星，且金星位于命宫；或者金星是命主星，火星在命宫；或者火星是命主位于中天；则盘主在婚姻中可能不忠。

38. The Lord of the Ascendant in the combust way, shows that the Native will be much entangled and pestered with business.

39. If Infortunes be in the tenth house, peregrine, and not friendly to the Ascendant, the Native will be always full of suspicions and jealousies.
　凶星落在第10宫，因孤立而失势，并对上升点影响不利，则盘主多疑且忌妒心强。


　非常简明的论断，可以根据论述的内容与实际命例去比对。凶星特指土星和火星，因孤立而失势代表该星不存在任何主宰势力（包括Sign，Exaltation，Triplicities，Terms，Faces五个层次），并且空相。对上升不利自然是形成了刑相位，这个就没什么好说的了。

40. All Planets above the Earth, make a man illustrious and generally known far and near, and being all swift in motion, render him dextrous and nimble in the dispatch of affairs.
　命盘中所有的星落在地平线以上，通常易出优秀且远近有名的人，他们行动敏捷，在处理紧急事务方面表现出色。


　所有的星落在地平线上就是指位于星盘的上半部分，远近出名有种小范围的感觉，如附近村、镇之类，毕竟体现的是古人那时的情况。这句论断很简单，不过有欠代表性，比如关键的星如果都落在12宫的话，恐怕很难生出这样的人。
　dispatch of affairs不知道会不会是专指古人的信件速递业务，这样的差事需要的人确实得行动迅速，手脚麻利才行。

41. Those that have the Moon, Lady of the Ascendant under the Earth, with the "Tail of the Lion" and the "Virgin's Head", the Sun in the sixth, and Saturn or Mars in their own dignities in the Angles of the 7th, will always be very infirm and weak.
　月亮，作为上升之母，位于地平线之下，落在“狮尾”、“处女之首”位置，太阳位于第六宫，且土星或火星落在下降点、得势，则盘主体质虚弱多病。


　当上升点落在巨蟹时，主宰星月亮亦称为Lady of the Ascendant，这是个别称。“狮尾”即狮子座的尾巴，对应恒星Denebola，是颗明亮的恒星。“处女之首”不太明确，字面上应是指室女座的头部，不过查星图室女座的头部并未有命名的恒星，也没有突出明亮的恒星，如果从经度位置来看，与星座头部差不多的经度上有恒星Zavijava，它位于室女的肩部，属于次要恒星，基本与头部的经度相对应。土星或火星的得势可能仅指星座主宰和曜升，也有可能还包括了Triplicity和Terms，这里条文没有确切说明。
　这个条文定义了一个复杂的星位格局，能够符合论断条件的命例恐怕不会多见。

42. Mercury in Pisces lays an impediment on the tongue, making a man absurd in his speech and uttering unawares what he does not conceive in his mind.
　水星落在双鱼座，会给人带来谈吐上的麻烦，令人语出荒诞或词不达意。


　非常简单的条文，论断也很武断，水星落在双鱼虽然落陷，但仅凭此一点不能代表所有水星落在双鱼座的人都会这样。

43. Whoever is born on the day of the Vernal Equinox at noon, shall be that testimony alone, become great in the world.
　出生于春分中午的人，将闻名于世。


　注：这个时候太阳处于耀升位置（能量得到加强）并位于中天。白羊座的第一度代表了一年的第一天，因此其命盘不只是能量充沛，而且与世俗事件的发展是一致、同步的，因此，盘主的一生会非常杰出显着，这是很正常的事。
